Waitlist
- Students can add themselves to the waitlists if the course is full. When seats are available, the system will automatically add the first student in the waitlist queue to the designated course sections.
- Students may be rejected by the waitlist for
- exceeding the maximum study load permitted;
- having already registered the courses;
- the waitlist is full;
- time conflict with the current schedule;
- registration restrictions unmet;
- linked sections error (e.g., lecture + tutorial);
- section group error (lecture and tutorial not in the same section group);
- missing sections on the waitlist; etc.
- Waitlist does not guarantee a seat. After the end of the add/drop period, all waitlists will be cleared.
- If students drop a course section on the waitlist and then add themselves back to the waitlist, they will be placed in new positions and queued again.
- Students should check their positions in the waitlist queue regularly on Student Information System (SIS) [Manage Classes >View My Class/Schedule >By Class >Status & Waitlist Position] and consider whether to find an alternative course. If students no longer want to queue up in the waitlists of course sections, they should drop themselves from the waitlists before the add/drop period ends.
- Please check the Max Total Units and Max Wait List Units [Manage Classes >Enrollment Appointment >Term Enrollment Limits >Max Total Units & Max Wait List Units] before students add themselves to the waitlists. Students will not be automatically added to the class by the system if there are no credits available.
